SUPER Eagles were last night denied victory as Saudi Arabia came
from behind to hold Nigeria to a 2-2 draw Friday night.
Nigeria was running away with victory until 10 minutes added
time from Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as he scored in
the 81st minute to give the Super Eagles a 2-1 lead over the Falcons
of Saudi Arabia.
This was after both sides had ended the first half 0-0 and the Sau-
dis hit the back of Nigeria’s net through Salman Al-Faraj but Nigeria
got back on level terms in the 73rd minute when the Eagles attacked
relentlessly and forced Abdulelah Al Amri to put the ball past his
own goalkeeper.
