SSA to the Governor on Transport and Logistics, Hon. Hassan Adekoya, explained in a press statement that the gesture was part of the state government’s recognition of the vital role security agencies play in keeping Lagos safe.
He stated that the initiative was also to commemorate three years since the commencement of commercial operations on the Lagos Blue Line Rail.
The initiative adds to a growing list of officer-focused welfare programmes rolled out by the Sanwo-Olu administration in recent months, including free eye screening and eyeglasses for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
