Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday approved the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawumi as Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).
Prof. Olawumi, a professor of Guidance and Counselling, was born on August 4, 1962.

She obtained a PhD in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and an MEd in Guidance and Counselling from UNILAG.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said Olawumi succeeds Professor Ibijoke Olatunji-Bello, who is retiring after the expiration of her five-year tenure.
