Sanusi, FAAN MD, Badejo, others to speak at transport summit on Oct 29

Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuki, Chief Executive Officer of Aero Contractors, Captain Ado Sanusi are among experts expected to speak at a transport summit set to take place on Wednesday, October 29 in Lagos.

The event with theme: “Nigeria’s transport infrastructure: Innovation for a sustainable future” will be chaired by the Managing Director, Primero Transport Services, operators of Lagos BRT buses, Mr. Fola Tinubu and will feature the former Commissioner of Transportation, Lagos State, Prof. Bamidele Badejo as a keynote speaker who will speak on “Future of transportation in Nigeria: Trends, challenges and opportunities.”

Other transport experts who will speak at the summit are Dr. Segun Musa, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Global Transport Policy (GTP), Capt. Samuel Caulcrick, former Rector of Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; Remi Jibodu, Acting COO, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) and Alex Nwuba, President, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Nigeria (AOPAN) will be on the panel session.

Others that will also form part of the panel session include: Dr. Chizoba Anyika, National Publicity Secretary & Deputy Director at NIMASA; Mr. Frank Ogunojemite, APFFLON President; Dr. Azeez  Mustapha, Managing Director AZ Logistics and Mr. Frank Kintum, CEO, Transport Day Media, organisers of annual Transport Lecture and Publishers of Transport Day newspaper.

According to the organiser and Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, Pearl Ngwama,  the summit aims to generate actionable policy outcomes that can drive positive and tangible industry changes.

“This is the first attempt but we have a clear cut perspective on what a summit is supposed to achieve. It is not just another talk show but carefully put together for a robust transport policy formulation, especially as it bothers on infrastructure and its sustainability,” Ngwama said.
