A young Business man in Kebbi State,Alhaji Abubakar Na-Ingila, has donated N16 million to 800 vulnerable people as Ramadan/Sallah package in Suru Local Government Area of the state.
Each 800 beneficiaries received N20,000 each as donation from the benefactor, Na-Ingila.
While presenting the cash at Dakingari in Suru LGA, Na-Ingila said the gesture was part of his contribution to support Gov.Nasir Idris’ administration in putting smiles on the faces of the people.
According to him, “the decision to donate to the vulnerable is inline with Gov. Idris’ administration of putting smiles on the faces of vulnerable people in the state, especially women.
“The gesture is aimed at cushioning the effects of the economic challenges they are facing, especially in this period of Ramadan and Sallah festivities,” he observed.
In his remark, Kebbi State Governor,Dr.Nasir Idris, represented by the Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Chika, commended Na-Ingila and described the gesture as a ”timely and Godly deed”, especially in this Sallah period.
He said the act would no doubt aid in ameliorating the hardship and difficulties faced by the people before, during and after Sallah festivities.
“This gesture is not only commendable but worthy of emulation, therefore, I urge other well-to-do individuals to borrow a leave and reflect same in their respective areas,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malam Usman Abdullahi, thanked Na-Ingila for the gesture and assured that it would be used judiciously to serve the purpose it was meant for.
