Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has revealed that the club’s marquee signing Mohamed Salah is staying in the same house formerly occupied by ex-Super Eagles forward Anthony Nwakaeme.
Nwakaeme is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the Turkish Cup winners at the end of last season.
Across two spells with Trabzonspor, the 37-year-old registered 50 goals and 48 assists in 193 appearances, cementing his status as a club legend.
Addressing reports and images circulating about the accommodation arranged for Salah following his move to the Super Lig club, the Trabzonspor chief revealed that the Egyptian is currently staying in a property where Nwakaeme previously lived during his time at the club.

In quotes relayed by Fanatik, Doğan said: “We currently have some houses in Trabzon that we’ve arranged for, let me put it this way: For example, the house he’s staying in now is the same house Nwakaeme used to stay in.
“There are about 7-8 houses there, villas, standard… Certain images are circulating, but there’s no big fuss about it. I don’t know where else in Trabzon such a house exists; I don’t even know if one exists.
“But I think people are probably upset about Salah’s transfer, about Salah coming to Trabzon. Because of this discomfort, they’re making up these lies.”
