Super Eagles dazzler, Joe Aribo has been likened to current Africa Footballer of the Year, Sadio Mane following his television exhibition goal in Southampton last Premier league outing against Leeds United.

The midfielder, who emerged one of the club’s latest signings, was able to fill his name into the club history book by becoming the 8th African player to have netted for the Saints in the last 22 years.

Revealing more about his feat, the Saint via latest tweet, shortlisted Senegalese Sadio Mane, Kenyan Victor Manyama, Moroccan Sofiane Boufal, Malian Moussa Djenepo, Moroccan Tahar El-Khalej, Guinea Henri Camera and Gabonese Mario Lemina as few African star to have followed Aribo’s step at the Saint Mary’s Stadium.

‘ @J_Aribo became #SaintsFC’s eight African player to score his first #PL goal for the club since 2000. Can you guess the rest?’ the club questioned.

Following this, thousands of Saints across the globe, took to their handle, dishing out answers which saw them likened the Nigerian to other seven Africa Stars who have netted for the club.

Aribo, whose goal was able to fetch Southampton the first point of the season, will on Saturday brace for action against Leicester City.
