In a special birthday message titled “Tribute to My Dad at 70: A Living Legend,” Mrs. Neka Mbadugha described her father as a man of wisdom, unwavering love and peace.
According to her, one of the greatest lessons he taught her was that “two wrongs can never make a right,” adding that his counsel to always choose peace and rise above conflict has continued to guide her through life.
She recalled how her father stood by her family during difficult moments and loved her late husband, Emeka, not merely as a son-in-law but as his own son.
“When I feel overwhelmed or discouraged, you somehow find a way to remind me that I am not alone,” she said.

Mrs. Mbadugha further expressed gratitude for the love and support her father has shown to her children, noting that his close bond with his grandchildren, Jimeto and Mmasi, has filled their lives with love, laughter and beautiful memories.
“In so many ways, you have helped fill the void left by their father’s absence, and for that, I will always be grateful. Dad, your life is a blessing, your love is a gift, and your legacy is written in the lives of the people you have touched,” she stated.
She prayed that God would continue to bless him with good health, peace, joy and many more years surrounded by the love of his family.
Also paying tribute, his son, Mr. Chukwuma Alex Nwoye, described his father as an incredible man whose support, guidance, wisdom and sacrifices have shaped the lives of his children.
“Happy 70th birthday, Dad. The values you have taught us continue to shape our lives every day. My wife, our child and I want you to know how much you are loved, appreciated and admired. We are grateful for all the memories we have shared and look forward to many more,” he said, while wishing the celebrant good health, happiness and God’s blessings.
Another daughter, Mrs. Chinyere Doris Ikhatua, described the attainment of 70 years as a remarkable milestone marked by experiences, triumphs, challenges and cherished memories.
“Today presents an opportunity to reflect on a journey that has touched many lives in different ways. May God grant you good health and happiness, and may meaningful moments continue to surround you,” she prayed.
She also wished a happy birthday to the “one and only Ochiri Ozuo of Uga.”
In her own tribute, Miss Chioma Sylvia Nwoye showered encomiums on her father, affectionately describing him as her “favourite legend.”
“Happy birthday to my favourite legend, Dad. Officially vintage, but you still have more energy than me. Seventy years young and still winning at life. Thank you for all the laughs, the fatherly advice and for always being my hero. I hope your day is as awesome as you are. Love you, old man,” she said.
The 70th birthday celebration drew dignitaries from different walks of life, who paid glowing tributes to Onyendu Nwoye for his contributions to community development, his commitment to family values and his enduring legacy of service.
