The identity of the new Pope has been revealed amid the tolling of the bells in St. Peter’s Square on Thursday.
Daily Sun reported that white smoke was sighted in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, marking the dawn of a new era following the demise of Pope Francis.
The latest reports reveal that the new Pope elected by the conclave is Robert Prevost, the first American pontiff in history.
According to CNN, Prevost will be called Pope Leo XIV.
