Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall, known for his role in the first two Godfather films, has died at the age of 95.
Duvall’s passing was revealed by his publicist and a statement posted on his Facebook page by his wife, Luciana Duvall.
The Hollywood veteran reportedly died “peacefully” at his home Sunday in Middleburg.
“To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything.

“His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented,” Luciana Duvall penned.
Born on January 5, 1931, Robert Selden Duvall was also a filmmaker whose career spanned seven decades.
He was the recipient of an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, four Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Satellite Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
