The National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Mohammad Suleiman has urged Nigerian youths to brace up in tackling challenges facing the country and use their PVCs to take back Nigeria in 2023.
Suleiman disclosed this on Saturday while presenting a keynote address during the unveiling of Next Generation Legends and discussion circle, convened by member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, held in Jos, Plateau State.
He encouraged youths to exercise courage and strong will in accessing their PVCs and vote PDP all through to entrench good governance and secure the country in 2023.
“I am confidence that the PDP will win the 2023 general election from the President and National Assembly to the governorship and State Houses of Assembly election, PDP as a political party is the last hope of all Nigerians.
“If you look at the current situation in the country, the nation is in a very bad shape, ranging form unemployment, insecurity and bad economy. You cannot travel in Nigeria today for 10 to 20 kilometers without being kidnapped; 50 metres to the presidency is not secure which is very unfortunate, we must raise and take back our country.” He stated.
Suleiman assured that critical stakeholders in the PDP are working hard to resolve internal wrangling in the party since the emergence of the Vice presidential candidate and urged the youths to keep hope alive.
“PDP is a well organized party that has internal mechanism for resolving disputes, we are working hard and talking with each other in uniting the party for victory in 2023.”
Former Speaker of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Istifanus Mwansat praised Hon. Bagos for staging the programme and it is time for PDP to take back Nigeria for peace, unity and development.
He described youths as the live wire of PDP and urged them to bring all machineries to bear and enthrone the party to power for the good and prosperity of citizens.
Zonal Chairman, PDP North Central Zone, Theophilus Dakas Shan urged the youths to channel their energy towards populating the PDP for the purpose of winning the 2023 election.
Shan advised the youths to concentrate their campaign for the PDP from the presidential to the state assembly election and forget about any other party for the good of the country.
Member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency and Convener of the programme, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos said equipping the next generation is a task that must be accomplished.
He urged the youths to get their PVCs and vote PDP to power and hold the party accountable for the dividends of democracy.
Bagos admonished Nigerians youths to resist vote buying and ensure that their vote count during the 2023 election.
Plateau State Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon. Caleb Mutfwang, represented by the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Hon. Josephine Piyo who unveiled the Next Generation Legends, thank Bagos for initiating the programme and said the legends will work to protect the integrity, ethnic and religious diversity of Plateau and Nigeria.
