Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State have pledged unwavering obedience to directives from Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during Wike’s “thank you” visit to the area on Sunday, APC Chairman Mr. Rejoice Otobo affirmed the party’s readiness to follow the minister’s lead. He assured Wike of the community’s loyalty, citing his contributions to the locality.
“We await instructions from you on the 2027 elections concerning Rivers State. Wherever you ask us to go, there we shall go; whatever you ask us to do is what we will do,” Otobo declared.
“All the good and the bad people of the LGA have decided that where you want us to go is where we will go,” the chairman added.
Echoing this commitment, PDP counterpart Ikechukwu Obuzor hailed Wike for restoring hope to Ahoada residents and promised full allegiance. “I want to say that we are standing firm with you. Wherever you go, we will go. Be rest assured come 2027, Ahoada West will deliver the needed results for you,” he stated.

Local government chairman Chita Eugene lauded Wike as “the political field marshall of South South” for driving unprecedented development to Rivers State. He framed the visit as a tribute to effective leadership and public service, beyond mere thanks.

The Seyi Tinubu Support Group, led by Chidi Amadi, joined in, vowing backing for Wike and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
In his address, Wike thanked residents for their robust support in the 2023 elections for himself and Tinubu. Dismissing Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s re-election prospects, Wike called for leadership renewal in 2027 to reclaim the state’s glory.
“Already, Rivers State is being respected because of what we are doing in FCT. We need a leader we can trust to drive our dear state to glory and progress,” the minister emphasised.
