Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Chinedu Micheal Akuwudike Goodluck has already carved out a niche for himself as a talented actor and a budding director with aspirations as vast as the Nigerian sky.
In an exclusive interview, Chinedu shared his journey from his roots in Ezinni-Ihitte, Mbaise, Imo State, to the bustling streets of Lagos where he found his passion for acting. “I fell in love with acting at a young age,” he reveals with a bright smile. “It’s a way for me to express myself and bring joy to others.”
Despite his youth, Chinedu has already received acclaim, notably winning the 2022 Best Comedy Kid Humor Award. “It was a surreal moment for me,” he admits modestly, “but it also motivated me to aim higher and work harder.” When asked about the challenges of being a child actor, Chinedu reflects thoughtfully.
“Every role comes with its own challenges, but I have been fortunate to have supportive mentors, especially my mother, who is my role model.” His dedication to his craft is evident, balancing his education with his passion for acting and directing. Looking ahead, Chinedu is ambitious about his future in the industry. “I want to act in major movies and eventually direct my own,” he shares enthusiastically.
“I believe storytelling is a powerful tool, and through acting, I can inspire and entertain people.” Beyond his professional ambitions, Chinedu enjoys video games, football, and learning about different cultures through tourism. I’m passionate about exploring new places,” he adds.
