Resumption: Senate begins sitting, Sen. Natasha yet to appear at Chambers

The Senate on Tuesday resumed plenary, with suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in attendance.

Ahead of her threat to resume from suspension today, following a court ruling last week, the National Assembly beefed up security at the entrance to the complex.

Visitors to the complex were subjected to intense screening before being allowed entry.

Akpoti-Uduaghan had vowed in a viral video posted over the weekend to resume duties, citing the court ruling which declared the six-month suspension by the Senate excessive.
