Reps halt CBN charges on deposits

The House of Representatives, on Thursday, urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to suspend the new charges on deposits, exceeding N500,000 in the case of individual accounts, and 3million naira in the case of corporate account, until after appropriate consultation.

This followed the adoption of a motion by the chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Benjamin Kalu.
