Reps express concern over NAF plane crash

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Air Force, Kabiru Usman Alhassan, has expressed deep concern over the crash of the Nigerian Air Force( NAF) ATR-42 aircraft in Ondo State.

Alhassan, in a statement, on Tuesday, expressed solidarity with the passengers, crew members , their family, as well as with the Nigerian military over the incident.

The lawmaker commended the Nigerian Air Force, other security agencies and all other agencies l involved in the rescue operation for their prompt response. He expressed hope that those on board the aircraft would be found safe.

He said ” I am deeply saddened and concerned by the unfortunate crash involving a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft in Ondo State. The aircraft was reportedly carrying 32 passengers and the status of those on board has not yet been confirmed, as rescue efforts are currently underway.

” My thoughts and prayers are with the passengers, crew members, their families and loved ones at this difficult moment.
I commend the Nigerian Air Force, security agencies, emergency responders and all those involved in the ongoing rescue operation for their prompt response.

“I earnestly pray and remain hopeful that those on board will be found safe. At this anxious time, I urge everyone to remain calm, prayerful and hopeful, while the rescue efforts continue.”
