The replacement of Nigeria’s Service Chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a proactive measure intended to tackling the country’s lingering security challenges.

A press statement by a leading chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  and Director of Finance, Hadejia Jamaare River Basin Authority, Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso said that contrary to other insinuations, the replacement is an illustration that the President listens and acts to the cries of Nigerians.

Kwankwaso congratulated President Tinubu on the bold and decisive move.

“President Tinubu has reaffirmed that the safety of Nigerians must come before sentiment, he has shown that the lives of Nigerians matter more to him than friendship, than political or even tribal sentiment” he declared.

Kwankwaso remarked that the appointees all came on board with competence and the right attitude to deliver noting that Nigeria’s current insecurity problems requires field Commanders who understand the battlefield and the minds of those they lead.

He urged them to be wary of under- performance, noting that the President wants urgent results marked by the restoration of peace in troubled areas and the rebuilding of communities long haunted by violence.

“For now, Nigerians must rally behind this decisive move. The security of our nation is a shared responsibility, one that demands unity, vigilance, and faith in the collective mission of peace”

“President Tinubu has played his part by resetting the system, the new Service Chiefs must now prove that the nation’s renewed hope is not misplaced” he asserted. End.
