Rema bags double at 2024 ASCAP London music awards

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Rema has emerged winner at the 2024 ASCAP London Music Awards with his hit song, ‘Calm Down’.

While dazzling in Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer Show in Paris, his popular song “Calm Down” won prizes at the London Music Awards.

The song won Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song, while co-writers and producers Michael Hunter (London) and Andre Vibez were also honored.

Rema now has three ASCAP awards, more than any other Nigerian or African artist.

He is also the most decorated African artist in 2024, with six prizes under his belt.

“Calm Down” is the first Afrobeats song to reach one billion streams in the United States.
