The Director General of RELAX, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, Hon. Ahmed Bala, has described the choice of Kaduna State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off as a significant political development for Northern Nigeria.
Bala said Kaduna occupies an important position in Nigeria’s political history and remains a strategic centre for engagement with stakeholders across the northern region.
He maintained that the campaign provides an opportunity to highlight the administration’s infrastructure investments and development programmes across Northern Nigeria.
RELAX, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, is a sister organisation to the City Boy Movement, with Barrister Seyi Tinubu identified by the organisations’ leadership as the founder of both political support groups.
The organisations are engaged in political advocacy, grassroots engagement and activities supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Bala identified the reconstruction of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano highway as one of the important federal infrastructure projects affecting Northern Nigeria.
The highway serves as a major commercial corridor linking Abuja with Kaduna, Zaria and Kano, facilitating the movement of agricultural products, manufactured goods and passengers.
He also highlighted the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, a major transportation project intended to improve connectivity between the northern and southern parts of the country.
Other federal road projects include the Sokoto-Zamfara-Zaria corridor, Kano-Maiduguri highway and the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-

Bala said the completion of these projects would help strengthen trade, improve access to markets and create opportunities for communities across the region.
The RELAX Nigeria DG also drew attention to the administration’s agricultural programmes, describing food production, irrigation and rural development as important priorities for Northern Nigeria.
He noted that agriculture remains central to the livelihoods of millions of people across the region and requires sustained investment in infrastructure, security and modern farming systems.
Beyond agriculture, Bala identified education financing through NELFUND, healthcare revitalisation and transportation initiatives as programmes that could benefit northern communities.
He acknowledged that insecurity, unemployment, poverty and inadequate infrastructure remain major challenges requiring sustained government attention.
According to him, the Kaduna campaign flag-off presents an opportunity for the President’s political team to communicate its development priorities and engage the public on outstanding challenges.
Bala expressed support for the continuation of the administration’s reforms, arguing that consistent investment and effective implementation would be necessary to achieve lasting development.
He called on political stakeholders to promote national unity, peaceful campaigns and constructive dialogue as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
