The Director-General of Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Hon. Ahmed Bala, has taken the Renewed Hope message to the South-South geopolitical zone through the organization’s zonal mobilization town hall rally, placing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms and development priorities at the centre of political discussions ahead of 2027.

The town hall marks another stage in RELAX’s nationwide grassroots sensitization programme, designed to promote public understanding of government policies and strengthen political engagement across Nigeria.

The South-South engagement focuses on the administration’s economic direction, the challenges associated with structural reforms and the opportunities for long-term development.

President Tinubu’s government has pursued major policy adjustments since May 2023, particularly in the areas of petroleum subsidy removal, foreign exchange management, fiscal restructuring and investment promotion.

These measures have generated significant public debate, especially because of their impact on inflation, transportation costs, food prices and household purchasing power.

Supporters of the administration maintain that the reforms are intended to address deep-rooted economic weaknesses and improve Nigeria’s long-term fiscal and investment outlook.

Through the town hall, RELAX is advancing its argument that meaningful national development requires policy consistency, institutional reforms and sustained engagement with citizens.

The South-South occupies a strategic position in the country’s economic landscape, with major contributions to oil and gas production, maritime commerce, manufacturing and agriculture.

Consequently, conversations about national economic transformation are closely connected to the region’s development needs, including infrastructure, environmental protection, employment opportunities and industrial investment.

The organization also places emphasis on the participation of young Nigerians, women, community leaders and other stakeholders in shaping national conversations about governance.

RELAX operates as a sister organization to the City Boy Movement, with Barr. Seyi Tinubu identified as Founder-in-Chief. Hon. Ahmed Bala, the organization’s Director-General, oversees its sensitization and grassroots mobilization activities.

The South-South rally forms part of the organization’s efforts to strengthen its political engagement network and communicate its support for President Tinubu’s development agenda.

With the 2027 elections drawing nearer, RELAX is using its zonal engagements to promote discussions about the administration’s record, the economic challenges facing Nigerians and the case for continuity in government policy.
