Spanish basketball giants Real Madrid have reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Nigerian-American forward Jordan Nwora ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Nwora, a former NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks and a key player for Nigeria’s D’Tigers, has emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in European basketball following an impressive campaign in the EuroLeague.

The versatile forward who currently plies his trade with Crvena zvezda of Turkey has attracted attention with his scoring ability, athleticism, and consistent performances on the continental stage, prompting Real Madrid to consider him as a major addition as they look to strengthen their roster for next season.

Speaking on the development after the conclusion of the sixth edition of the Jordan Nwora Foundation Elite Basketball Camp in Lagos, Jordan’s father, Coach Alex Nwora, acknowledged the interest from the Spanish powerhouse but declined to confirm whether a move was imminent.

“I can’t confirm if Jordan is leaving his club or not,” Alex Nwora said.

“He loves the club and the fans are happy with him. They played well this season but had some hiccups along the line.

While it’s true that Real Madrid are aiming to get him to sign for them, the final decision is left to him.”

Nwora, who won an NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, has continued to enhance his reputation in Europe and remains a valuable asset for both club and country.

With the transfer market expected to gather momentum in the coming weeks, basketball fans will be watching closely to see whether the Nigerian international opts for a move to one of Europe’s most successful clubs.
