Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has debunked rumour linking him with a move to Real Madrid, describing it as “annoying”.

He insisted that despite speculations he has neither been contacted by Real Madrid nor Altetico Madrid and has no ongoing negotiation with either club.

In an interview with German media, the 58-year-old tactician expressed annoyance over recurring links with the Spanish giants.

Klopp also denied links with the German national team job.

He said, “It’s good that we talk about this. When is news, news? When does someone take a piece of paper and write something, or when is there something true? Or is it enough for some media outlet, I don’t know if it’s AI or if there are people behind it, to write anything? It annoys me.

“If Real Madrid had called, it would have been known at some point. But all of this is nonsense. They haven’t called even once. My agent is there; you can ask him. They haven’t called him either.”

The former Borussia Dortmund manager quit coaching when he left Liverpool in June 2024.

He has since join Red Bull as director of global football operations.
