Marcus Rashford delivered a stunning performance as FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 on Sunday night to secure the 2025/2026 La Liga title with three matches left in the season.

The England forward opened scoring with a brilliant free-kick in the ninth minute before Ferran Torres added the second goal moments later at the Spotify Camp Nou, handing Barcelona their 29th Spanish league crown.

Barcelona dominated the El Clasico clash from start to finish, extending their impressive winning streak in La Liga and moving 14 points clear of rivals Real Madrid.

Rashford’s goal set the tone for a memorable night in Catalonia as the on-loan forward from Manchester United continued his remarkable form in Spain. The 28-year-old has now scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions this season.

Both Rashford and Torres dedicated their goals to Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, whose father reportedly passed away earlier in the week.

Real Madrid struggled throughout the encounter and managed only one shot on target across the entire match. The defeat added to growing pressure on manager Alvaro Arbeloa after a disappointing campaign.

The match also came days after reports of a dressing room altercation involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde, with Valverde missing the game due to concussion.

Barcelona fans erupted into celebration at full-time as chants of “Championes” echoed around the stadium, confirming back-to-back La Liga triumphs for the Catalan giants.
