Raise Humanity Initiative (RHI), a nonprofit organization focused on transforming lives and communities, has successfully concluded its Own A Skill Campaign program. This vocational training initiative aimed to equip marginalized youth with essential skills in fashion and design, fostering creativity and securing employment opportunities within the fashion industry.
The program, held in Aba, Abia State, trained 70 participants, offering hands-on experience in fashion design, pattern making, garment construction, and shoe making. Participants received industry-specific skills and certifications, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and job placement opportunities in reputable fashion companies.
RHI’s Own A Skill Campaign is designed to empower marginalized youth by providing vocational skills, promoting economic inclusion, and breaking the cycle of unemployment. The results of the program were significant: all participants (100%) gained practical skills and certifications, 75% of participants secured jobs in the fashion industry, and 80% reported increased confidence and financial stability.
Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, praising the interactive training sessions and job placement support. “This program has transformed my life,” said Daniels, a participant. “I now have a career in fashion and a bright future ahead.”
RHI’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities and promoting economic inclusion is evident through the success of the Own A Skill Campaign program. By providing access to quality education, skills development, and employment opportunities, RHI is working towards a more equitable society.
The success of this initiative underscores the importance of vocational training and job placement programs in bridging the gap between marginalized communities and the fashion industry. RHI’s program serves as a model for future initiatives, inspiring others to join the effort to create a more inclusive and creative economy.
