…distributes an array of medical equipment to 290 PHCs

Provision of quality health care services for Nigerians is a right and not a priviledge, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has said.
Uba Sani stated this shortly before lagging off the distribution of an array of medical equipment to 290 recently upgraded primary healthcare centres at Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA), Kakuri, Kaduna South local government area of the State.
Following the sustained efforts by the civil society groups working in the health sector in Kaduna State, the immediate past administration had upgraded about 290 out of about 1,169 PHCs and Health Centres across the 255 political wards spread across the 23 local government areas in the State.
Uba Sani said the impact of the initiative goes beyond the supply of medical equipment but underscored his administration’s determination to invest heavily in the healthcare workforce, their training, and the provision of an enabling environment for professional excellence.
“Our goal is to provide them with the tools they need to make informed decisions, deliver precise diagnoses, and administer effective treatments”, the governor stressed.
The governor then extended his gratitude to his government’s partners cutting across public and private sectors, “who have collaborated with us to make this vision a reality”.
He described the distribution of the array of equipment as a “testament to the power of collective action in achieving sustainable development”.
He then commended the health workers for their sacrifices, describing them as “the heart and souls of our healthcare system”, pointing out that “these investments are a testament to our faith in your abilities”.
