Quake jolts Greek Sporades

An earthquake in the Aegean shook the Greek Sporades islands in the night between Wednesday and Thursday and was felt in Athens, 130 kilometres to the south.

The epicentre of the quake, which registered a magnitude of 4.8, was some 10 kilometres deep under the sea floor, between the islands Alonnisos and Skyros.

There were no immediate reports of damage. (NAN)
