Media personality, Toke Makinwa has lamented the destruction of property and looting of businesses that characterised Thursday’s hunger protests in some parts of the country.
The vlogger and entrepreneur took to her X page to bare her mind.
In Kano, it was learnt that protesters attacked and looted the Digital Innovation Park designed to support Nigeria’s technical talent accelerator programme (3MTT).

The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani confirmed the industrial park which was built by Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) was looted days before its commissioning.
In Katsina, there were also reports of looting of various shops and vandalisation of property belonging to residents by miscreants who hijacked the protest.
Reacting to the looting spree, Makinwa said, “Destroying properties and stealing from your fellow Nigerians who are passing through the same hardship is not right at all. This is very sad.”
