Popular Nigerian Christian couple and filmmakers, The Winlos, Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere and Anwinli Ojeikere, have premiered the fourth instalment of their faith-based film series, Prophet Suddenly 4: The Children’s Ministry, in cinemas.
Premiered on August 2, the film was written and directed by Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere and executive produced by Elder Steve Iruedo. It explores the importance of intentional discipleship and spiritual development for children within the Church.
The film follows Victor, a church leader whose neglect of children’s discipleship creates a spiritual vulnerability that exposes the consequences of failing to invest in the next generation.
The cast includes Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere, Anwinli Ojeikere, Lawrence Oyor, Shola Okodugha, Laurel Olu Egbor, Apostle Arome Osayi and Addo November Mwasongwe.
Shot across Nigeria, Tanzania and the United States, the movie features English, Swahili and Nigerian Pidgin, reflecting its international outlook and diverse cultural settings.
According to the filmmakers, the latest instalment is designed to challenge churches and families to prioritise children’s spiritual growth through prayer, biblical teaching, mentorship and intentional leadership development.
They said the film also seeks to demonstrate the growing potential of African faith-based cinema to tell culturally authentic stories with global relevance.
Beyond entertainment, The Winlos said Prophet Suddenly 4 is intended to stimulate conversations about the Church’s responsibility to nurture, protect and discipline the next generation.
