The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State chapter, has hosted the 10th Nigeria Digital PR Summit, bringing together over 250 professionals from the integrated marketing communications space.
The two-day event, themed, “Digital PR in Action: Owning Your Narrative, Telling Your Story,” marked a decade of innovation, storytelling and reputation leadership in Nigeria’s digital communication space.
Reflecting on the exploits of the summit in the past one decade, its Convener, Segun McMedal, expressed delight that the annual event had, from its humble beginnings, grown into a national platform, where the future of communication in Nigeria and beyond, is being shaped
He said the essence of this year’s summit was to re-emphasise the need for brands to be more transparent and communication more intentional.
The event featured a keynote presentation titled, ‘Cybersecurity Meets Storytelling: Protecting National and Corporate Reputation in the Digital Space,’ and delivered by the Chief Visionary Officer, Digital Encode, Prof. Obadare Adewale.
A major highlight of the two-day event was the second Nigeria Digital PR Awards Gala, destined to recognise outstanding individuals, brands and campaigns, shaping Nigeria’s digital PR space.
The fourth edition of the Digital PR Digest, a flagship publication, showcasing thought leadership articles from leading professionals and academics across the communication industry was also unveiled.
