Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has directed that Professor Adolphus Odogun Loto takes charge of the administration of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, pending the assumption of office of the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe.
This development came on the heels of the expiration of tenure of office of the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, on Sunday, 9th March, 2025.

Prof. Loto studied Dentistry at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and he specializes in Restorative Dentistry.
He is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Clinical Services) until his recent appointment as the acting Vice Chancellor.
He is a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
