Probe killing of woman, six children in Kano – Tinubu

Tinubu orders

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a probe into the killing of a housewife named Fatima Abubakar and her six children in Kano State.

Speaking in a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu called the murders barbaric while condoling with the family of the bereaved.

“The President condemned the action as barbaric and condoled with the bereaved family over the tragedy,” part of the statement said.

Tinubu lauded the police for the swift arrest of the principal suspects and instructed that a diligent prosecution be carried out by the security agencies.

“The President commended the police for the swift arrest of the principal suspects and ordered the investigation and diligent prosecution of the suspects,” Onanuga added in the statement.

35-year-old Fatima Abubakar and her six children were murdered on Saturday in a violent attack at Dorayi Chiranci Quarters in Kano.

The victims were killed after the suspected assailants reportedly broke into the house and inflicted fatal injuries using dangerous weapons.
