PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Ltd, the engineering design subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification.

This cements its commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement and world-class service delivery.

The certification, awarded by the German Society for the Certification of Quality Management Systems (DQS), confirms that PrimeTech’s quality management system complies with global standards set by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) and demonstrates its ability to consistently deliver engineering and consultancy services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The milestone follows more than a decade of investment in strengthening the company’s quality management systems. PrimeTech began enhancing its quality processes through structured internal audits in 2015 while operating under the certification framework of its parent company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. As its operations, workforce and client portfolio expanded, the company pursued an independent certification to reflect its growing operational capacity.

Presenting the certificate, DQS Country Director, Ogudu Lawrence, commended the company for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

“PrimeTech’s attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement. The organisation has demonstrated that it possesses the systems, structures, and processes necessary to consistently deliver services that meet international standards and client expectations,” Lawrence said.

He described the certification as a major achievement, noting that ISO 9001:2015 remains the global benchmark for organisations seeking sustainable growth through efficient processes, customer-focused operations and continuous improvement.

Lawrence, however, stressed that the certification comes with ongoing obligations, warning that compliance would be monitored through annual surveillance audits.

“We can take the certificate from you in case of any shortfall in standards. The certificate can be taken from you from Germany without even calling us. You must continue to improve. There must be a surveillance audit every year to ensure that the standards we certified are maintained or enhanced,” he said.

Speaking after receiving the certification, PrimeTech General Manager, Christian Moesmer, described the recognition as a defining moment in the company’s development.

“This certification represents a major milestone in our journey of excellence. It independently validates that our quality management system meets international standards and reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering professional engineering and design services with integrity,” he said.

“More importantly, it assures our clients that quality is not merely an objective for us; it is the foundation of everything we do.”

Moesmer added that the certification reinforces the company’s promise to clients and stakeholders by confirming that its engineering and design services are delivered with the highest standards of professionalism, accountability and integrity.

According to the company, PrimeTech now operates a comprehensive quality management system backed by a dedicated quality assurance team and an expanding framework of documented operational procedures. The quality management approach has also been extended beyond engineering activities to cover administrative operations, human resources management and project support services.

The company said the ISO 9001:2015 certification would further strengthen its position as one of Nigeria’s leading engineering and design consultancies while supporting its commitment to delivering innovative, reliable and customer-focused solutions.

PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Ltd provides engineering, design and consultancy services across multiple sectors as the specialised engineering subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. The company said it remains focused on maintaining global quality standards while driving innovation and sustainable engineering solutions.
