Presidential rally: Tinubu in Ibadan, meets Makinde before going to Mapo Hall

The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in this year’s general elections, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has arrived in Ibadan for a mega presidential rally that will hold at the Mapo Hall Arcade, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital today.

He was received on arrival at the Alakia Airport, Ibadan, by the governors, ministers and other top dignitaries led by the gubernatorial candidate for APC in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin.

The first port of call after the airport is the Oyo State Governor’s Office, Agodi, Ibadan, where he was personally received by Governor Seyi Makinde, who is a member of the Group of Five Governors, known as G-5 Governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that have running battle with the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

The train proceeded from Agodi to the Faculty of Basic Science, University of Ibadan, where Tinubu commissioned a 500-seater auditorium worth N250million, donated by the Kano State governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje.

He is expected to have a brief stop at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, where notable traditional rulers from the South West geo-political zone, held a crucial meeting. From there, he is also expected move in a colourful procession in a motorcade to Mapo Hall Arcade, for the rally.

Music maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde K 1 is already on the stage at Mapo Hall Arcade, leading the sensational Fuji Merenge, Rasheed Ayinde and other top musicians to serenade at the rally.
