Presidential polls: Atiku knocks out Tinubu in Katsina

Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has defeated Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina, President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state.

Atiku polled a total of 489,045 votes from across the 34 Local Government Areas of the state, accordingly to the INEC Returning Officer, Muazu Abubakar.

Abubakar who announced the result on Monday morning said that Tinubu polled 482,283 while the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), . Rabiu Kwankwaso, tagged a distant third with with 69,386.
