Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has advised Nigerian state governors against signing contracts with foreign firms.

Sani urged state governors to exercise prudence while signing contracts with foreign corporations to avoid the confiscation of Nigerian-owned jets and assets.

Posting on X, Shehu Sani wrote: “All the State Governors signing contracts with foreign firms should be careful so that they will not start seizing the diaspora properties after they confiscate all our remaining planes.”

His warning comes amid a contract dispute between Nigeria and the Chinese business Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited.

Fucheng was recently granted an order to take a Dassault Falcon 7X, an Airbus A330-243, and a Boeing 737-7N6/BBJ belonging to the Nigerian government.
