President Tinubu has revocated Koko-Mahuta -Dabai road – Kebbi Gov

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revocated the Koko-Mahuta -Dabai federal road for re-awarding to another construction company.
Governor Idris disclosed this while flagging off the construction of rural roads project at Yauri Highway/Hundeji town in Shanga Local Government Area of the state.
He announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the revocation of the contract for Koko-Mahuta-Dabai road, disclosing that after documentation of the road, the flag off for the re- construction would be performed.
Idris reiterated the determination of his administration to continue with a myroad of people-oriented projects across the State.
While speaking on the Shanga road, Governor explained that the project, which is under the Kebbi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, (RAAMP) is being handled by RIBALKA Construction Company, signified a significant milestone in the fulfilment of his campaign promises.
According to him, “democracy is all about making life better for people, we will continue to make life better for our people, we will continue to embark on more projects in Yauri,” he assured.
Idris announced that his administration would flag off free distribution of fertiliser to farmers on Tuesday with the aim of boosting food production in the state.
” My administration will not in anyway sell fertiliser to the farmers but rather distribute it free of charge as we promised,”he vowed. Schools are undergoing renovation, new ones are being constructed with the provision of instructional materials.
‘”Constitution of roads is ongoing across the state, contract for renovation of our general hospitals in Birnin Kebbi, Argungu, Yauri, Zuru and Koko have been awarded so that patients will not have to be moved from one hospital to another,”he assured.
The Governor, while acknowledging the return of peace in Yauri Emirate, assured the Emir of Yauri of his willingness to continue to support the security agencies to protect farmers for increased production.
Earlier in his welcome, the State Coordinator of RAAMP, Idris Adamu said the 6.55 kilometers road was expected to be completed in one year at the total cost of over N518 million.
” I welcome the Governor for the official flag off of Yauri to Hundeji road construction.
‘ The duration for the completion of this rural road is one year, however, it is anticipated that the contractor will complete it in 8 months,”he explained.
