A prankster named Zfancy has been apprehended by the National Cybercrime Centre of Nigeria Police Force over threatening video clips.

Zfancy’s arrest was announced by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday.

Adejobi revealed that he was apprehended at an apartment in Wuye area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) following the spread of accusatory videos on social media, in which the suspect was alleged to have committed heinous crimes, including rape.

According to him, Zfancy’s videos have caused apprehension among netizens on social media even though the suspect had claimed they were scripted.

“Regardless, such actions have serious implications and cannot be taken lightly,” the force PRO stated.

Speaking further, Adejobi pointed out that the police remain committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals are held accountable for actions that incite fear or disturb public peace.

He also issued a warning to content creators and pranksters to always obey the law and be conscious of acts that could be threatening to members of the public and the general security of the nation.
