Power Oil, a Nigerian heart friendly vegetable cooking oil produced by Raffles Oil Enterprise, bagged two honours at the 2017 Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Awards for Marketing Excellence, West Africa.

The brand emerged first position in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), beating other big brands like Nigerian Breweries, MTN Foundation and Indomie nominated for the category.

Also, Power Oil emerged as first runner-up for the Brand of the Year Award, in a contest involving the likes of Coca-cola, Airtel, Indomie, Hayat and Unilever, among others.

Speaking on the awards, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, president of ADVAN, said the task of selecting the brand of the year was tough, as, according to her, “all the brands nominated under this category have performed excellently beyond expectations. However, what needed to be done had to be done and we congratulate recipients in all the award categories.”

Amisha Chawla, Brand Manager, Power Oil, expressed excitement for the two awards her product won.

She commended ADVAN for the award, saying, “we all know how tough and meticulous ADVAN can be with entries, also considering the level of screening and scrutiny entries were subjected to before transiting to the nomination stage, then to final – the winning stage.”
