Contrary to reports making the round that the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC), Silas Agara, failed to secure his polling unit in the last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, the NPC Commissioner has denounced the report saying the election in his unit was declared inconclusive

In an interview with Daily Sun on Wednesday, the former Nasarawa Deputy governor explained that there were no results generated from his immediate polling unit in the first place not to talk of losing his CMS polling unit, Gudi to the Labour party.

According to the NPC Commissioner, “I want to put the record straight. The election in the said polling unit was declared inconclusive because of some skirmishes that erupted during voting.

“I, cannot imagine myself losing my polling unit to a party that is not on the ground. I want to appeal to the journalist to cross-check their facts before going to the press” Agara declared.

In a follow-up development, our correspondent gathered that Silas Agara had won his ancestral polling Unit with 310 votes in the presidential election conducted on the 25th of February, 2023 while the labour party got 11 votes at grassroots ICC polling Unit results, Tidde Ikpon st.House No 20008 Anchor Baba, Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
