The Nigeria Police has deployed Patrick Edung to Zone XI of the Police Command Headquarters as the 32nd Assistant Inspector General of Police covering Osn and Oyo Commands.
The deployment of Edung followed the redeployment of AIG Paul Odama to Zone 16 Command, Yenagoa, by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
Edung served as Commissioner of Police at Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, in 2021 where he was appointed as AIG and posted to zone XI.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of Zone XI, Ayeni Benjamin, on Thursday, confirmed that Edung has assumed duty.
The new AIG served as Assistant Commissioner of Police in 2013 and later became Area Commander in Jos Metro, Plateau State, between 2015 and 2017.
He also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in 2017 before he became the Commissioner of Police in 2021.
