The Nasarawa State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped woman and also arrested 11 suspected armed robbers in separate operations across the state.
The Command also recovered a locally fabricated revolver, cutlasses, knives, SIM cards and other items used in criminal activities.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed.
According to him, one Favour Innocent, a resident of Ajyga Village, who was kidnapped from her residence on August 3, 2026, at about 9:00pm, was rescued the following morning at Nunku Forest Area in Akwanga Local Government Area.
He said the rescue operation was carried out through the combined efforts of the police, local hunters and youths of the community.

Nansel said the victim was immediately taken to the Primary Health Centre, Andaha, where she received medical attention before being discharged in good condition.
“She has since been reunited with her family, while investigation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects,” he stated.
In a separate operation, the police said 11 suspects were arrested following an armed robbery attack on a guesthouse in Area One, Masaka, in the early hours of September 4.
The PPRO said the robbers invaded the guesthouse at about 2:00am and dispossessed lodgers of valuables, including mobile phones and cash.
He said the Commissioner of Police immediately ordered the deployment of a patrol team to the scene, forcing the suspects to flee on sighting the police vehicle.
“The team pursued them to their hideout, where nine adult suspects and two minors were arrested,” Nansel said.
