The Edo State Police Command has arrested 24-year-old Promise Erosele Tobore, a member of a two-man car snatching ring.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Moses Yamu disclosed this in an X post on Tuesday.
The command spokesman shared photos of the suspect and a recovered white Volkswagen car allegedly snatched by the two-man syndicate.
He disclosed that the car was snatched from a staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) in Benin.

Yamu said, “A two-man car snatching gang snatched this vehicle from the owner who is a Staff of NNPC in Benin.
“A timely info from a concerned citizen was received at the nearest @EdoPoliceNG stop and search point.
“The operatives went after them, which forced the suspects to abandon the vehicle and took to their heels.
“However, one Promise Erosele Tobore 24yrs was arrested while his gang member identified as Best Chiwendu aka ‘Best’ escaped.
“The case is being investigated with a view to arrest the fleeing suspect.”
