Delta State Police Command on Monday said it was yet to receive any complaint on the reported attempt to kidnap the state Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Emma Amgbaduba.
Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bright Edafe told Daily Sun that the was unaware of these incident.
“If he had reported the matter to the police, then our attention would be drawn to it for prompt investigation,” he said.
Amgbaduba had narrated how he dared the odds to escape from the scene of the failed kidnap attempt along NPA road in Warri, on his facebook page.
The commissioner stated that the daredevil suspected kidnappers intercepted his vehicle at about 7pm on Saturday.
Amgbaduba, popularly known as ‘Oziko’, two hefty men who popped out of their operational Toyotal Camry car were advancing towards him when he summoned courage to accelerate towards them.
He wrote: “Dear all, I want you to help me to thank God as the Almighty God protected me from the hands of kidnappers yesterday at about 7pm on my way into Warri Town, at the NPA expressway.
“A biege coloured Toyota camry rammed into me and forced my vehicle to come to a halt and two hefty young men popped out from the front seat of the car, one at the back and one guy rushing towards me.
“Without panicking, I put my car in reverse and faced the thug that came out from the passenger side of the car in full speed ahead, while he jumped off the road I drove off and had a successful get-away.
“While I thank God for His protection, I advise us all to be vigilant, especially in the Warri axis.
“I be God pikin o, they can try but e no go work, I give praises to God for his protection always.”
