The Ogun State Police Command has launched preliminary inquiries into the alleged shooting of popular comedian Broda Shaggi (Samuel Perry) in Sango-Ota on Sunday afternoon.
The entertainer reportedly sustained a gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit under the Sango-Ota bridge.
A police source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the incident has not yet been formally reported to the command.

“The incident was alleged to have occurred in Ogun State, but no official complaint has been received so far. We are however monitoring the situation and will commence formal investigations once a report is filed,” the source said.
The police emphasised that safety during filming activities remains a priority and urged entertainers and production crews to follow recommended security protocols.
Authorities have also appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
Broda Shaggi was first taken to Blooming Care Hospital in Alakuko for initial treatment before being referred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja, where he is currently recuperating.
