The Lagos State command has foiled an attempt to abduct a 25-year-old man in Lagos and arrested three suspects in connection with the crime .
The police also rescued the abducted victim who was abducted at Isashi area of the state.
The suspects: Edem Chucks,24, Oluwatobi Adeniji 24, and Emmanuel Ebere,are currently being interrogated by the police.
It was gathered that the victim was in his house at Oke -Moro, Isashi, when he was abducted.
The victim was taken away into the forest in the area, where the suspects demanded a N2 million ransom from the victim’s parent and threatened to kill him if the money was not paid.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin,in a statement, said that on August, 27 2024, at about 12am, Isashi Divisional Police Officer, received a distress call from a concern citizen in the area that someone had been abducted.
He said immediately after the DPO received the calls about the kidnap of the victim, he mobilised his men and went in search of the victim in the area.
He said:”it was in the process of the search the victim, 25 years-old was rescued, while the three suspected kidnappers were arrested in connection with the crime.
“To avoid being killed, the victim’s mother paid through two different bank accounts, and the suspects also collected the sum of N1 million from the victim’s account through mobile transfer, and also disposed him of three of his international passports and other valuable items”.
Hundeyin, however, said, investigation was ongoing, while efforts were being made to arrest other suspects at large.
