Warns officers against extortion and all forms of misconduct

Authorities of the Zonal and State Police Commands of the Nigeria Police at the weekend conducted a routine assessment of the roadblocks mounted along the East-West Road by their personnel.
The joint operation, which was led by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 Headquarters, Yenagoa, AIG Johnson Oluwole Adenola, and the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor, led to the dismantling of illegal roadblocks.

During the exercise, after the dismantling of the illegal roadblocks, AIG Adenola warned officers against extortion and all forms of misconduct towards members of the public, especially along the expressway.
They charged officers to remain professional and be of good conduct while carrying out their lawful duties.
CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor stated that the exercise would be a routine to check the conduct of officers on the highways across the state.
