The Nigeria Police Force has debunked a publication directing prospective police constable recruits to resume for training on September 18.
The police said the publication, which is circulating on social media, did not emanate from the force.
In a disclaimer posted on its verified Facebook page on Wednesday, the police explained that the publication was not an official communication of the force and should be disregarded.
The post reads, “DISCLAIMER:The Nigeria Police Force has observed a publication circulating on social media purportedly emanating from the Force, directing prospective Police Constable recruits to report for training on 18th September 2026.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to state that the said publication is not an official communication of the Force and should be disregarded.
“All prospective trainees are advised to rely solely on information communicated through their respective recruitment portals and the official communication channels of the Nigeria Police Force for verified and authentic updates regarding the recruitment and training exercise.
“Members of the public are equally urged to refrain from circulating unverified information capable of causing confusion or misleading prospective recruits.”
