The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the attack and murder of a youth mobilizer, Raphael Ikyav in Makurdi.
Ikyav was reportedly murdered late hours of Wednesday, April, 23, 2025, by unidentified hoodlums along Akpehe Road in Makurdi.
Sources around the area, said the hoodlums attacked Ikyav in his shop Wednesday evening and stabbed him multiple times.
The police said the hoodlums after the murder, left him in the pool of his blood.
Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) CSP Catherine Anene, said the police were investigating the murder of the youth mobilizer,”The Command received reports about the killing of the youth leader and investigation is ongoing.”
