Police confirm Abduction of Community Leader in Nasarawa State

The Nigeria Police Force, Nasarawa State command has confirmed the abduction of Alhaji Musa Shuaibu, the Madaki of Shabu last night, who fell victim to a brazen kidnapping incident.

In a telephone conversation confirmed by the Nasarawa State Police Command through the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer in the early hours of Friday stated that the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 pm on Wednesday, shortly after Alhaji Shuaibu had completed evening prayers.

Nansel recounted, “The kidnappers, numbering about five, reportedly followed Alhaji Shuaibu after observing him perform his evening prayers. As he was crossing the road near his residence, they intercepted him, firing shots into the air before forcefully taking him away.”

DSP Ramhan Nansel reassured the public, stating, “Security operatives have swiftly launched a comprehensive search and rescue operation within the vicinity and surrounding bush areas. Our primary objective is to ensure the safe and prompt release of Alhaji Shuaibu without harm.”

As investigations intensify and efforts to secure the release of Alhaji Shuaibu persist, the Nasarawa State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, particularly in the face of such alarming criminal activities, he stated.
