Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the death by stabbing of Ibrahim Khalil Danshagamu at his residence in Gaida Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State.
A statement issued on Wednesday night by the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, indicated that unknown hoodlums had, on September 8th, forcibly entered the residence of the deceased and attacked him with sharp objects.
“The victim was rushed to Murtala Muhammed Specialists Hospital, Kano, where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor, the statement said.
The statement said the Command had immediately carried out an intelligence-led operation that led to the arrest of two suspects linked to the tragic incident.
The suspects are in custody and are currently being interrogated, the statement held while adding thst efforts were ongoing to arrest other persons who may be connected to the crime.
“Statements are being obtained and forensic analysis is in progress to establish the full facts and motive behind the attack” the statement held.
Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori expressed deep condolences to the family of the deceased and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of violent crime are identified, arrested, and prosecuted according to law.
The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
